My research focuses on invasion and restoration ecology, exploring how plant invasions reshape ecosystems and how these systems recover after invader removal. I study plant functional traits, plant–soil interactions, and legacy effects to understand invasion success, ecosystem change, and restoration outcomes, combining field experiments, controlled studies, and synthesis approaches.
I am a Feodor Lynen Fellow (AvH Foundation) currently based at the Ecological interactions lab part of the Argentine Institute for Dryland Research (IADIZA-CONICET) in Mendoza, Argentina. Also a guest scientist at the Ecological Novelty group, based at the Freie Universität Berlin.
